A1. WHAT YOU NEED

 1) DeleGate tar ball
  ... "dg9.9.8-src.tar.gz" in this case
  ... or "delegate9.9.8.tar.gz" (with limited functionalities) in the source distribution

 3) C++ compiler
  ... g++ typically

A2. WHAT YOU DO

 1) Unfreeze and expand the tar ball
    $ tar xfz "somewhere/dg9.9.8-src.tar.gz" 
  ... you will see the direcory "delegate9.9.8"
    $ cd delegate9.9.8

 2) Execute make

    $ make
  ... your E-mail address will be asked on the way. Enter it to proceed.
  ... if it fails on the way, try "make CC=g++" or so

A3. WHAT YOU GET

    ./src/delegated  -- the executable file of DeleGate

A4. HOW TO INSTALL

  ... put delegated anywhere
  ... if necessary, put shared library of OpenSSL and Zlib at the directory where delegated is put

B1. WHAT YOU NEED

 1) DeleGate tar ball
  ... "dg9.9.8-src.tar.gz" in this case

 2) Cygwin (any version)
  ... sh, tar and gzip are necessaly

 3) Visual Studio 2005
  ... expected to be installed at the standard location "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8"
  ... or "C:\Program Files (x86)\..."

B2. WHAT YOU DO

 1) Create a working directory for building
  ... for example as "C:\delegate"
  ... any directory is OK, except the directory path includes non-ASCII characters or SPACE

 2) Unfreeze and expand the tar ball
    C:/delegate> tar xfz "somewhere/dg9.9.8-src.tar.gz" 
  ... you will see the direcory "delegate9.9.8"
    C:/delegate> cd delegate9.9.8

 3) Execute the build script
    C:/delegate/delegate9.9.8> ./make-vs8.bat
    ... or ./make-vs8_win8.bat with Visual Studio under "C:\Program Files (x86)"
  ... please ignore warnings as long as your script finishes with "====FINISHED===="
  ... your E-mail address will be asked on the way. Enter it to proceed.

B3. WHAT YOU GET

    ./src/delegated.exe  -- the executable file of DeleGate as a Console Application
    ./src/win32-dg.exe   -- the executable file of DeleGate as a Windows Application

B4. HOW TO INSTALL

  ... put delegated.exe anywhere
  ... if necessary, put DLL of OpenSSL and Zlib at the directory where delegated.exe is put

C1. WHAT YOU NEED

 1) DeleGate tar ball
 2) Cygwin
 3) Visual Studio 2005
 4) the directory of DeleGate for Win32 build at B2. above.

C2. WHAT YOU DO

 1) Create a working directory for building
  ... for example as "C:/delegate/cea"

 2) Make symbolic link of name "dg-host" pointing the DeleGate directory built for Win32
  ... if your Win32 build is at "C:\delegate\delegate9.9.8" then
    C:/delegate/cea> ln -s ../delegate9.9.8 dg-host

 3) Unfreeze and expand the tar ball
    C:/delegate/cea> tar xfz "somewhere/dg9.9.8-src.tar.gz"

 4) Execute the build script
    C:/delegate/cea/delegate9.9.8> ./make-vce.sh

C3. WHAT YOU GET
  ./src/wince-dg.exe for Windows CE
  ./src/winmo-dg.exe for Windows Mobile
