If you saw an error "HTTP/1.0 407 ..." when you did it without MYAUTH,
then the proxy-server seems to be configured to forbid illegal access
to non HTTPS server like NNTP server.

 |Can you think of any other way using DeleGate, to connect to a NNTP server

The person with whom you should cosult is the administrator of your
HTTP proxy-server.
