The patch worked great for https://delegate:81/-_-https://www.att.com Thanks for the help. But as a side note, the patch does not work for all https sites. For example we use apache as a front-end proxy server for our internal web mail servers (which are all M$ exchange) and if I try to use delegate in place of the apache as a reverse proxy it fails right after the login. We use the apache as a DMZ http mail proxy server so that users can't try to hack our mail servers. Anyway I thought this might be a problem with any https servers that requires some form of authentication, so I tried http://www.hotmail.com and http://mail.yahoo.com they all seem to have the same problem. No big deal since my goal was not to replace the apache proxy, I just thought you might like to know. Thanks for the great product. We are going to implement your delegate service on our library site for remote access to offsite library sites that requires our users to have one of our IP addresses. Delegate will replace our current ezproxy server that we have been using. I would like to commend you on your quick responses to my questions. We have had ezproxy for over 3 years and never got quick responses from them. Again, many thanks for your help. -----Original Message----- From: Yutaka Sato [mailto:pficabdyi-mxhgu46mr33w.ml@delegate.org] Sent: Wednesday, June 01, 2005 11:20 PM To: pficabdyi-mxhgu46mr33w.ml@delegate.org Cc: James Brooks Subject: Re: [DeleGate-En] delegate running as https service On 06/02/05(11:05) you "James Brooks" <James_Brooks@berea..> wrote in <_A2961@delegate-en.ML_> |When I try https://delegate:81/-_-https://www.att.com |Using: |Delegate -f -v -P81 SERVER=https FCL=sslway CMAP="delegate |-Fsslway:FSV:https" ADMIN="admin@berea.." I nealy hate M$Win and strongly recommend you to use DeleGate on a Unix :p DeleGate on Win32 lacks many features which are usually available on Unix. I think almost only one recommendable software selled by M$ is "VirtualPC on Windows". You can run any Unix like Linux on Windows using VirtualPC, even if you need to continue to use Windows by some reason (I don't have such reason). ... But anyway, I uploaded the Win32 binary of the 9.0.3-pre9 with the patch I shown in the previous mail, at ftp://ftp.delegate.org/pub/DeleGate/alpha/ Cheers, Yutaka -- D G Yutaka Sato <pfqcabdyi-mxhgu46mr33w.ml@delegate.org> http://delegate.org/y.sato/ ( - ) National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology _< >_ 1-1-4 Umezono, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, 305-8568 Japan Do the more with the less -- B.
